Interviewing Instructors with Hidden Disabilities and Hidden Health Conditions


Seeking University instructors living with hidden disabilities or hidden health conditions to participate in an internet interview-based study on disclosure conducted by Nicole Eugene, PhD student at Ohio University.

​If you have a hidden disability or health condition like ADD/ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Diabetes, Dyslexia, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Pain, Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Learning Disabilities, Mental Illness, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Multiple Sclerosis, Narcolepsy, Parkinson’s Syndrome, or Rheumatoid Arthritis please contact me about participating in this study. If your specific condition or disability is not listed above but you would like to participate please contact me about your interest. Participation will last 30-45 minutes and participation is confidential. The last day to join the project is April 10, 2015.

This study is being done to better understand instructor disclosures of hidden disabilities and hidden health conditions. To examine this issue I will be conducting a number of interviews with graduate students and faculty members at Ohio University and at other universities.

If you agree to participate, you will be asked to participate in an interview to share your experiences discussing your health or impairment with your students and to share other information about your life and experience as a teacher.
